This August we paid tribute to the gals who broke ground in the Great War in Suffolk taking part in a 1918 recreation event called ‘Bringing the Boys Home’ at Kentwell Hall in Long Melford.
We represented the Women's Land Army, Women's Forestry Service and the Women's Forage Corps with gals out on the farmyard tending to stock and out in the woodlands measuring and recording timber that would be available to support the boys at the Front.
